First of all, let me apologise for  the photo’s. The phone belongs to my sister and she has added her own feminine touch to the handset.

The Samsung Soul is a neat, small slide phone with a 5Megapixel camera and a fancy miniature touch screen. However, the main screen is not touch screen.

The small touch screen is a soft key display and looks quite funky. Although really, the touch screen does not serve much of a purpose, it is a refreshing new idea and looks quite nice.

The phone itself takes Micro-SD cards which is useful as U900 packs a 5Mp camera on board. However, as with all Samsung camera’s and camera phones, the camera is a big disappointment. The camera takes quite a while before it takes it’s pictures as it tries to focus on the object by which time the thing might have moved and you are left with a blur.

Call’s could be better as I had a reception problem with the phone - which could be a network issue, but I had no problems with the sim in another phone.

Battery life is good as can be expected from normal phones nowadays as a single charge lasted several days.

The Samsung Soul U900 is not a bad phone and with its unique touch sensitive mini screen, it stands out from the other slide phones out there on the market. However, other little things could have made it a much more pleasant phone to own and use.
